Set a Cutoff Time for Signups
If you want to prevent last-minute signups for your events and shifts, you can set a cutoff time. Go to Settings / Preferences and look for 'Sign Up Options.' The default is set to 0, which means people can sign up for the opportunity until the moment it starts. Then, Timecounts hides the shift or closes the button on Events.
You can change it to 3 hours before or whatever time frame works best for your organization and then press Save at the bottom of the page. Suppose you set the cutoff time far before the start time. In that case, it is an excellent idea to inform volunteers in your orientation or handbook that this is an organization's decision so they understand.
