Review and confirm applicants.
This is the default option. It gives you complete control over who signs up for your events or shifts. You can manually review each application and approve or reject them as needed.
Benefits:
Quality control: You can ensure that only volunteers who meet specific criteria or qualifications are approved for certain shifts or events.
Avoid mistakes: This setting helps prevent any accidental signups by volunteers who may not fully meet your requirements or who didn’t fully understand the event details.
Personalized communication: You can connect with volunteers personally before approving them, helping to build stronger relationships.
Confirm applications automatically.
With this option, volunteers are automatically approved when they sign up for an event or shift without your manual approval.
Benefits:
Faster signups: Volunteers are instantly confirmed, which means less waiting time for them and a smoother experience overall.
Reduced admin work: If you have a large volume of signups or events, this option saves time by eliminating the need for manual approval.
Self-sufficiency: Volunteers can sign up quickly without waiting for approval, which can be ideal for events that don’t have strict requirements or where you trust your volunteers to understand the criteria.
Changing your approval settings for volunteers.
The default setting for all opportunities is "Review and Confirm." You can adjust the approval settings for each activity, as some events or schedules might be better suited for auto-accept, while others require manual review before confirming volunteers. To update, open the event or schedule, click on the Details tab at the top, and scroll down to the Shift Confirmations section (for schedules) or Applicant Confirmations section (for events). After making your change, click Save at the bottom to apply it.
If you have volunteers in a "requested" state, you must review those signups manually. The change will only apply to future signups.
