Learn how to create a profile for volunteers that do not have an email address.

Why add a volunteer to Timecounts if they don't have an email?

Not everyone has or prefers to use an email address, but with Timecounts, you can still keep these volunteers organized. Adding a volunteer without an email allows you to manage their details manually, assign them to shifts, and log their participation. While they won’t be able to receive emails or log in with the placeholder email, you can update their profile if they provide an email later, allowing them to create a Timecounts account.

Important: Manually adding a volunteer to the Directory does not create a login for them. They must verify their account with a valid email to log in.

Adding a volunteer without an email to the directory.

  1. Go to the Directory and click Add Volunteer in the top right corner.

  2. In the popup, choose to add a single volunteer or switch to import a list of volunteers (ensure the list is in the correct format).

  3. Enter the volunteer’s first and last name. In the email field, use the placeholder format [email protected] (make sure each placeholder email is unique).

  4. After adding, go to the Imported tab in the Onboarding view of the Directory and click Add to Directory.

Now, the volunteer is in your Directory. You can assign them to shifts, events, or applications and update their profile information.
