Unable to find volunteer when assigning

Why a volunteer might not appear in the search for assigning to a shift or event.

If you’re unable to find a volunteer when trying to assign them to a shift or event, here are a few possible reasons:

  1. The volunteer has not yet been added to your Directory.

  2. Their profile may use a different name (e.g., Rebecca vs. Becky).

  3. The shift requires specific qualifications. If the shift is tied to an application, volunteers must meet the qualifications to be assigned.

  4. The volunteer may already be listed within the event or shift with a different status. Check if they’re marked as Invited, Requested, Waitlisted, Cancelled, or Declined. To assign them, change their status to Confirmed. You may need to adjust the filters to view all statuses. Alternatively, open the volunteer's profile card to update their status directly.
