The purpose of copying shifts.

Copying shifts in Timecounts allows you to quickly set up a recurring schedule, saving hours each month. For organizations with shifts that repeat weekly or at regular intervals, this feature lets you duplicate existing shifts from one week to future weeks with just a few clicks.

Copying shifts in your schedule.

Navigate to the week in your schedule that you want to copy. Click the Copy Schedule icon in the toolbar.

This will open a popup allowing you to copy your schedule to future weeks. You can choose to copy specific positions or select all positions. The next screen will show 12 weeks that you can copy to. Once you press copy, please give it a few minutes to populate as it's moving over a lot of data, and our system cross-checks.

We don't recommend publishing schedules more than three months in advance, as this can lead to a high number of cancellations and create a lengthy schedule for volunteers to navigate when signing up. However, we understand that every organization has its own unique needs. If you need to copy more than 12 weeks, go to the last week in your schedule once it’s populated with shifts and repeat the process.
