This feature is available on Advanced and Pro plans.

If you have documents you wish to share with your volunteer community, Resources are a fantastic way to do that.

Uploading Documents to the Resources Page of your Hub

If you have documents you wish to share with your volunteers or visitors to your volunteer hub, Resources are a fantastic way to do that.

To upload files, go to the Hub Editor in the main navigation and click on the Details tab across the top. If you scroll to the bottom of the Details page you will find the Resources upload section. Click on the Upload Documents button and you will be able to select files from your computer, Dropbox, Google Drive, Facebook, Instagram, and just about anywhere you keep documents.

Once you've selected the files you wish to make available on the Resources page, press Done. Don't forget to also press the Save button at the bottom of the Details page in Timecounts.

Set visibility permissions for Resources

Resources is currently a fixed tab for Advanced and Pro Plans that appears in their volunteer hub. We will soon provide a way to remove this tab if Resources is not something your organization makes available to volunteers.

In the Hub Editor / Details page you can choose to make Resources available to the Public (anyone that visits your hub) or keep it Private to Directory Volunteers (only visible to logged-in volunteers that are listed in your Directory).

Add Instructional Copy

If you wish to write a few sentences to appear at the top of the Resources page, go to the Resources tab across the top in the Hub Editor view. Add an optional title and compose up to 500 characters and press Save Draft or Publish at the top right corner so you don't lose your work. This text is optional and can be updated at any time. You may wish to explain to volunteers what they should do with the documents provided or give further details about the documents you posted.

Deleting a Document from Resources

If you wish to remove or replace a document, go to the Hub Editor, click on the Details tab across the top and scroll down to the bottom where you will find the Resources you have uploaded. Click the grey X to the right of the file you wish to delete. You will see a popup confirming that this is permanent.

How Volunteers Use Resources

Once you've added documents to the Resources tab in Settings, it will automatically be visible and available for download to logged-in volunteers on the Resources tab under the Home in the Hub.

From the Resources tab, volunteers can easily click on the document and download it to read and share.
